Why is lighting design an important aspect of office interior design?

This is even more significant for office lighting as people tend to spend about seven to ten hours, five days a week. This rounds to about 40 hours a week or more easily stated as close to one third of a person’s lifetime.
In the workplace of today, where the majority of information is processed visually lighting plays a vital role in the design of an office space. Gone are the days of incandescent bulbs, having been phased out due to energy inefficiency.
